Phoenix Support is a Non-profit organisation created to support people living with mental health conditions. We are a leading professional organisation supporting people living with mental health illnesses or conditions. Founded in 2025, it is a well-established and highly respected organisation committed to providing excellence in the support of those living with and affected by mental health illness or condition.

Mental health is one of the most important foundations for a healthy and long life, and we believe everyone deserves good mental health; we must take the necessary action.

We believe that no one living in South Africa should be deprived of the opportunity for good mental health because of who they are, the community they come from or where they live.

Poor mental health is not inevitable. There are things we can do as individuals, in our communities and across society to help us all to live with good mental health. We want to be a sustainable and potent force for change, positioning us as the mental health organisation focusing on prevention, management and good mental health for all.

Our Mission

Phoenix Support Centre is a leading nonprofit organisation dedicated to advancing mental health care through advocacy, education, and innovative support services.   We are committed to ensuring equitable access to mental health resources for all South Africans, regardless of background, community, or socioeconomic status.

Many mental health conditions involve negative thought patterns. A motivation to break free from these thoughts and cultivate more positive thinking can drive recovery.

Personal Growth and Mastery:
Seeking help can foster a sense of competence, allowing you to gain control and develop skills to manage your mental health effectively.

4

Greater Capacity for Happiness:
Taking care of your mental health is a vital step toward finding happiness and a better quality of life.

5

Reduces Stigma
Increased awareness helps dismantle the shame and misunderstanding surrounding mental health issues, making it easier for individuals to talk about their experiences and seek help without fear of judgment.

6

Prevention and Recovery:
Proactive steps towards mental wellness can prevent mental health problems from worsening and support a path toward a fulfilling recovery.

7

Improved Wellbeing: Prioritising mental health is essential for overall physical, emotional and social well-being, not just the absence of illness.
